Delay event is a function that can delay the event with another name when a condition that matches a specific rule occurs.
It is also assumed that the generated delay event will be used as the target event for the Scenario.
* The major difference from the filter event is that the segment can be narrowed down and the event can be delayed.

By using this function, it is possible to notify the user who has performed a specific behavior on the site at an appropriate time offline and to remind the user.

  • After putting an item in the cart on the EC site, send a remind mail one hour after that to the user who left without purchasing ->Scenario example
  • Send push notifications to users who did not register when installing the app, telling them the benefits of registering as a member the next day ->Scenario example

After confirming that the event will occur, let's set the delay event created in the target event of the Scenario

Precautions for use

Restrictions on delayed processing

As described on the management screen,各遅延イベント毎に最大600件/分を超えると遅延処理が行われず、遅延イベントも発生いたしません. Therefore, if you set events that occur frequently, such as browsing events, without narrowing them down by segment, etc., event distribution may be stopped.

Occurred delay events outside of the delivery time zone

If it is the time when the delay occurrence event occurs outside the deliverable time zone, it will be carried over to the next deliverable time zone.

For example, a case where a delay event occurs one hour after a specific trigger and the delivery time zone is set as follows.

null

null

■ Example 1: When delivery is possible
If a specific trigger occurs at 9 o'clock on Tuesday → Delay event will occur around 10 o'clock on Tuesday

■ Example 2: Out of delivery time
If a specific trigger occurs at 18:00 on Friday → The delay event will occur around 10 o'clock on the following Monday

Normally it will be a delay event at 19:00 on Friday, but since it is not a deliverable time zone, it will be as described above as a result of being carried over to the next deliverable time zone

Timing of occurrence of delay event

Delay events can have a time lag of several minutes to an hour.
The more delay processing, the more time lag may occur, so please take measures that take the time lag into account.

When multiple delay event triggers occur

If multiple delayed event triggers occur before the delayed event occurs, the delayed event will occur for the latest trigger.

null

For example, you create a delayed event that occurs one hour after a cart event. At that time, if a user adds a product to the cart for the first time after the user puts the product in the cart (occurrence of the cart event), and the product is added to the cart after 30 minutes and 50 minutes, the delay event will be triggered by the cart event after 50 minutes. Occurs after one hour. The delay event does not occur three times.
